There's nothing like a freshly dry cleaned suit to start the week off right. I'm attempting to find ways to be more creative with my suits, and even though this idea isn't groundbreaking, I decided to wear a bold necklace while also subduing it by "hiding" it against the backdrop of a blouse in the same color. The fact that I love this suit and that I was having a good hair day made me feel pretty good all day. But then I came home to take pictures and it was so windy the good hair day took a turn for the worse, haha. I found out I'll be driving to Key West on Thursday to deal with a case down there. Sort of sad that my first (well, actually 2nd) time in Key West I won't be able to relax and enjoy the place!
have a safe drive! are they putting you up in a hotel?
ReplyDeleteNewp! The hearing is at 1 so I'll probably drive down in the morning, the hearing itself prob won't take more than 30 minutes to an hour, and then I'll drive home. I hope they pay for my gas though!
ReplyDeleteHello, my fellow lawyer! Thanks for stopping by my blog - so excited to "meet" you :D Love your Theory suit and hope your hearing tomorrow goes well.

I struggle with suits too. I usually end up mixing pants and jackets, and therefore not really wearing a suit anymore. I love the color top you chose to go with this.

Elissa, you look amazing - what a great idea to color block a statement necklace to make it work appropriate. Key West is so beautiful and I hope you at least have time for a stroll or to take yourself to lunch while you're there!
ReplyDeleteFinding other lawyer bloggers makes me all giddy inside - true story. And when I read that you also have a love affair with the tailor... sold. Great look, especially crazy for that bag. What kind of law do you practice?

I'm going to try to get some lunch after the hearing - I have a feeling I'm going to lose the hearing/be pretty angry after it so a relaxing lunch will be much appreciated!
ReplyDeleteI feel the same about lawyer bloggers - that's why I'm following you now! (well, and because I like your style of course haha). I do criminal defense and some personal injury. The hearing I have in Key West is a bond hearing
ReplyDeleteHey girl hey! I'm in prosecution. I feel like lawyer bloggers are rare, and criminal law bloggers basically don't exist. Good luck at your hearing!
