This skirt is the oldest thing in my closet. My mom bought it for me to wear to my 9th grade Confirmation. I wore it then with a black shirt and black flats. On my super skinny 9th grade self, the outfit looked ridiculous and was unimaginative. I now realize 2 things: 1) that pencil skirts really are timeless. I mean, this skirt is 11 years old for instance! 2) that longer skirts should be paired with heels. I don't think I would wear flats with this skirt because it'd make me look shorter than I already am.

holy cow, 11 years! I definitely do not own anything that old
ReplyDeleteNow I want to dig through my closet to find the oldest item! Definitely not 11 years, though - it wouldn't fit me anymore!! This is super cute - love the colors and overall look :)

I have a few staples from high school still in my closet too :)
ReplyDeleteLol I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one!
ReplyDeleteIt is a blessing and a curse that I can still fit into this skirt - when I wore it 11 years ago, let's just say I was trying to wear women's clothes when I still fit in children's sizes lol
