30 x 30 Day 18: Red, Tan, Tweed

My random comments today have absolutely nothing to do with my outfit. My boyfriend and I both love the v-neck t-shirts from Old Navy. They are super affordable, super soft, and come in a bunch of pretty colors (I care more about the pretty colors than he does). Every time I'm in Old Navy I try to pick him up a few shirts because he literally wears holes in them because he wears them every day. Tonight he walked in wearing this purple shirt I got him and I realized I have a women's version in almost the same color. Here is how the conversation went down: Me - "Oo I have a shirt in almost the same color. We should wear ours the same day sometime! We could be TWINSIES!" Him - "Uhh, oh God.." I wonder if any other couples have conversations like this, haha. If only I could be a fly on the wall...
Something to do with my outfit: for someone who didn't own any red in her closet until recently, I'm really embracing it. I actually just bought a RED winter coat from J. Crew during the extra 30% off sale! I'm a bit upset that it was delivered the day that the extra 40% off sale started, however, my size was long gone at that point so I wouldn't have been able to get it anyway. I'm excited to show it on the blog soon (although I'm not sure when it will be cold enough...maybe when I go visit BF in Chicago).

  2. Um, where's your head?! :)

I have conversations like that with my bf all the time. But usually as we're walking out the door, noticing we are wearing essentially the same outfit. Me:"Um, we kinda match" Him: "Yah, should you change or do you want me to?" Me:"Eh, I don't really care. We can just be twinsies" Him:"I'll go change my sweater"

Love the red on you - especially with these browns! Super pretty!

  3. The tweed looks so expensive! This outfit from head to toe actually looks very expensive. Very professional and cute! :)

  4. lol sometimes when i get home from work my face/makeup/hair is not blog worthy/cute to look at/can be a bit scary lol!

  5. you have inspired me to perhaps, perhaps try wearing red sometime because you look great. i've never cared for the color or thought i would look good in it, but it really looks sharp with the dark tweed blazer (love that too, by the way). you'll definitely have to show off your red coat sometime!
