In the footwear department, you can probably tell I didn't take some of your advice from one of my last posts to go with the black version of these shoes. The truth is, I'm still debating whether to keep both pairs. I don't have a pair of just nude flats, so I know I will get use out of the nude pair. And I don't have a pair of plain black flats right now (I tossed another pair a while ago and never replaced them) but I'm not sure the black qualify as "plain" because of the silver studs and nude border. I don't think these could really be my "go to" pair of black flats for every occasion - but these could definitely be a fun pair. Anyway, I obviously still have some thinking to do. Shoes happen to be my biggest weakness so sometimes I can't think straight about them (I am definitely a shoe hoarder lol), so my question to you is - in terms of flats, how many do you have? Do you have more than one pair of the same color? Any suggestions for a pair of plain black flats to wear to work, casually, and every time in between?
These nude flats really suits you! I also purchased these F14 flats and hemmed and hawed between the colors and ended up only buying the black one because it had the silver studs and I wear more silver jewelry and black clothes in general. I don't think these flats will last that long though....already have some bad scratches on mine. So if you having doubts, I'd say keep the nude (since it does look great on your fair complexion) and maybe return the black if you are not going to get a lot of wear out of it.
ReplyDeleteThis is such a nice outfit! I really like those pants :) Just curious, how are they not court appropriate? They look great to me, but I've never been in court never mind working in court so I wouldn't know, haha!
ReplyDeleteAlso I say keep the nude and the black flats if you will wear them both :) I have a few flats in the same colour - I think 3 black flats, but each are different and worn for different reasons :)
Away From Blue
i personally never feel bad about buying a lot of flats. I have to own more than I can count. BUT. I pretty much wear them as my every day shoes. So I like to have ones that match. I felt mildly bad when i bought these (http://m.saks.com/pd.jsp;jsessionid=QQSBRp3Qnnk6H1wlnQmnpN3pGTCH3pHv333RmZ2yqrSmhvbYlKjt!1968164842?productCode=0467866329209&R=467866329285&P_name=Giuseppe+Zanotti&N=1553+306590232&bmUID=jXWOB9z) and debated returning them, but I got them on super sale (noot as much as they are at saks, I got them on ruelala) and I felt like EH. I wear them every day. Worth it to have fancy flats. I NEVER buy designer shoes.
ReplyDeletethose are so cute, i've never seen u wear them!
ReplyDeletethanks for the heads up, Olyvia. I am a "rough walker" so I can see how I could get scratches on my shoes... and I'd hate it if it happened so maybe I should cut my losses and return the pair I haven't worn yet
ReplyDeletePeople generally wear "suit material" to court, like wool, and the casual color of these pants (an olive/khaki) combined with the more casual stretchy ponte fabric would make them a little too casual for court, in my opinion. However, if I dressed up the pants with heels and a more fancy blazer (like a sleek suiting blazer rather than this tweed one) I would probably wear them to court on a non-trial day. Trials are generally much more formal than your average court appearance
ReplyDeletewell since flats are basically all I can wear to work I have....my black revas, my brown revas (that were thrifted by my mom), a red ballet pair (that I'd like to upgrade since these are from Old Navy), a yellow loafer, a leopard loafer, a nude ballet, and light brown penny loafers. whoops!! haha, but if I could wear heels/wedges I probably wouldn't have as many.
ReplyDeletethose are SO CUTE. I want.
ReplyDeleteYou were so right about the black shoes - when I brought them to the store to return them I noticed scratches already, and I didn't even try them on for more than 30 seconds!
ReplyDeleteThose flats are really cute! My nude flats are in serious need of replacement - they are probably my most worn pair of shoes! (I also have black, cognac, grey, and red flats).
ReplyDeleteAh, I see what you mean! Thank you for explaining :)
ReplyDeletelove the blazer! so cute!
