I'm linking up with Mix and Match Fashion's "What I Wore to Work" linkup and the Tres Chic Fashion Thursday linkup! I don't have much to say except that I wore this outfit to work this week, and later, while I was showering that night I came out of the shower to see my dog eating my semi brand new Cole Haan black pumps (that I got such a great deal on Ebay). The leather is entirely chewed off on about 1 inch of one of one of the heels. I'm considering taking them to a cobbler/shoe repair to see if there is ANYTHING to do with them. It could be worse because I paid about $60 for them with shipping (as opposed to $250 full price) but to re-buy them at full price would be a huge sting to my wallet (and frankly, isn't going to happen). If anyone has had this happen to their shoes before and knows if they can be repaired, please PLEASE let me know!

  1. One week before my prom, my dog chewed up the heel of one of my shoes. I took the pair to the shoe/leather repair shop and he was able to fix it right away. I couldn't see the difference between the two heels and I still have the shoes seven years later. Good luck!

  2. Shouldn't be a problem. I've had it done before for the same reason. In my case it was a Lab mix puppy. :)

  3. I LITERALLY gasped out loud when I read this. My dogs are being ornery little a-holes too lately, maybe it's the season! Anyway, I don't know about leather, but Indy ate the entire wooden heel off a $200 pair of boots before I'd had a chance to wear them, and my shoe guy totally fixed it. So have hope!

  4. I pass by a "shoe repair" on my way home from work so I'm going to stop in there and see what they can do about this!

  7. Such a lovely outfit! I like how you've complemented the print in your top though the other items you're wearing.

So sorry to hear about your shoes though! I do hope they can be fixed.

  8. If you don't mind sharing, how much were you quoted to fix the heel? Thanks!

  9. $45. They didn't have the exact leather (my shoes had a pebbled texture) so they have to take off all the leather from both of the heel sections and replace it with their leather, and put on a new heel cap. I'm not sure if this is a "good" price but the store was recommended to me and is the only place nearby so I'm just going to pay it
