Despite the tweed material of the dress, the thing just says "summer" to me. The weave of the tweed (kind of loose) and the lighter colors and fun stripe details feel appropriate for warm weather. Wearing a lighter colored blazer like here also makes it feel summer appropriate. What do you think about wearing "winter" fabrics in the summer heat?

Below I'm trying on the "Miracle Dress" from Ann Taylor (I returned it). It certainly did not work miracles for me. I was too tall for this particular dress in petite sizes because the waist on the dress hit a few inches above my natural waist. The end result was that the ruching (which is supposed to flatter and conceal your stomach) made me look like I was pregnant. Not a flattering look :) The material also wrinkled easily (see below) and felt kind of cheap. I did love the bright cobalt color though.
