Turquoise & White

Every once in a while something happens and it reminds me that I'm not a young kid anymore. Specifically, this weekend I realized I'm getting older because I went out on Friday, danced to "twist and shout", and my legs are still killing me 2 days later. Ugh! Anyway, this is what I wore Friday night.   Saturday I spent the entire day working. I went to Naples with my boss to visit a client and we brought like 20 files in the car with us to talk about them on the way there and back. Productive but not relaxing :) I'm going to Chicago again on Labor Day weekend - any suggestions for restaurants or special happenings on Labor Day?! Leave any in the comments!

    Away From Blue

  3. I live in Chicago, and here's a few restaurants I would recommend:
    -Chicago Q (barbeque)
    -DMK Burger Bar
    -Sunda (sushi/new Asian)
-Rustic House (upscale American food - great for a date)

  4. your haaaaaaaaaair. is so good. !

  5. LOve your outfit and I just wanted to say that I'm sorry your client passed away. Death is never easy. Doesn't matter the circumstances.

  6. The color of the blouse is beautiful!! Paired with white, it looks so lady like. Chicago is a lovely city during september, because of the lingering summer festivities and the onset of fall activities. We go to chicago way more than we should may be..heh, but if you are there, and love pork, definitely try Purple Pig. The public house is another great restaurant try. If you are in for some variety, Vermillion is a great restaurant..

  7. Thanks for the recommendations! I think I had a reservation at public house last time but it was at like 10 pm so we decided to go to a different restaurant instead. Maybe we'll try again this time!

  8. Thank you Agi :) I appreciate it

  9. Thanks for the recs! Any recs for brunch spots??

  10. You hair looks so pretty curled like that!

  11. Bakin' and Eggs is awesome. Get there early, though (before 9 is best) to avoid a long wait. If you're looking for a simple diner-type place, Elly's Pancake House has the best pancakes I've ever tasted. For fancy brunch, Sable, the restaurant in the Hotel Palomar, is really good.

  12. Ah..yes, that place is jammed. Try going there just for drinks and may be some appetizer.. oh and if you are in mood for something very romantic, may I suggest the Signature Lounge on the 95th floor of John Hancock tower, ie, if you havent already been there. It is breathtakingly beautiful to see chicago at night from that height.
