Needle & Thread Dress Review

Below is the dress that I wore to the black tie (optional) event I went to this past weekend along with some pics from the event and a quick review of the dress.
I found Needle & Thread while browsing the ASOS website. The pieces are all hand beaded which adds to the price point, but I found all the dresses to be unique and I had a hard time picking only one out to try. I ended up choosing Geo Sundown dress. It has all-over sequins along with some different sized beading in a geometric pattern on the front. The sizes range from US2 to US10. ASOS's US2s are generally the equivalent of size US0 or 00 so that's the size I bought. Unfortunately, it turned out the US2 was true to size. However, I ended up keeping the dress because I didn't want it to be a tight mini-dress - I wanted it to be sort of classy, and the looser fit made it more of a shift style dress and the longer length made it appropriate for a work event. Overall, I was impressed with the quality of the dress and I would definitely purchase another (if I have another fancy event to attend). Right now, Needle & Thread is still a fairly new company - their website isn't even fully functioning yet (says coming 2014), but you can check out the website to see where you can purchase the items in your country.

Dress: Needle & Thread (same dress but different color here, midi length here)
Silver shoes: Calvin Klein
Bracelet: David Yurman
Clutch: (barely pictured) Amazon
(Note: the clutch is really small - I could fit my iPhone (barely), some money, my ID, a credit card, and my apartment key - that's it. No room for lipstick or gum. Still a pretty clutch though)

  1. Elissa you are absolutely amazing!!!! This dress is way better than your other dress! Your hair looks so good. Did you use extensions? It looks so full and shiny!

  2. Thank you for the hair comment! But no - no extensions, my hair is just this long right now. I actually am scheduling a haircut for next week.. but I don't want to take too much off!

  6. I'd love to see you with a lob cut but I think if will make you look much younger! Not sure if that will be in the legal field. ;)
