Hello everyone! I was recently contacted by the founder of Black Turtle Apparel, a new clothing company specializing in office-friendly styles for petite women - obviously, right up my alley. They created a quiz to help you figure out whether you should try petite sizes or not. I played around with it by answering different ways and I think it's pretty accurate - as long as you are honest about how your clothes fit you!
I'm 5'3", which is at the taller end of the "petite spectrum," so sometimes I buy standard sized clothing. This dress, for example, is a standard size from Ann Taylor. I kept it because I liked the longer length. Just because you are "petite" according to the charts doesn't mean you have to always buy petite sizes, of course. That's the beauty of retailers like J Crew, Banana Republic, Ann Taylor, Loft, etc etc (and also department stores with multiple departments) - you can try both petite, regular, and plus sizes and see what fits you best.
Anyway, take the quiz above and let me know what you think! Also be sure to keep tabs on Black Turtle Apparel and what designs they release next.
