Black / White / Grey Fit & Flare

I wore this to work a few weeks ago on a fairly normal day with a client meeting. I find myself dressing up more to meet with clients these days because it happens less often than in my criminal law job. I was in court daily when I practiced criminal law, so I could get away with wearing outfits like the below because I felt I had a closer relationship with the judges and opposing counsel. Nowadays, however, I've only worn suits to court, and I use my non-court days to play more with my wardrobe choices, like below. I'm recently loving the brand Cut25 for their comfortable fit and flare dresses with thick enough fabric to suck in my body but be professional in length and style for work. Have you tried Cut25? It's kind of a hard brand to find, but sometimes it's at Nordstrom Rack, and The Real Real has a lot of choices, too.

Blue Ruffle DVF

If you've been reading this blog for a while, it may seem obvious that one of my favorite things to do is match my various suit separates with the rest of my wardrobe. That's why I'm always looking for dresses and other items that fit in with the items I already own. I knew this DVF ruffle dress would go well with all the navy, tan and cream/white jackets in my collection, plus the length and sleeves are perfect for work. I've already worn it twice.. you'll have to wait a bit to see the second way as I'm so behind uploading photos :)

In life news, the neighbors behind us recently cut down all their trees and bushes. So, while I once thought that we had privacy and a lush garden behind our house... it is no more. I'm curious to see how pictures will turn out with basically nothing behind me :(

Red Pleats

Forgive me, but I'm several weeks behind in posting outfits as I've been super busy at work and have been doing a lot of traveling (can't say I'm mad about the latter part!). I wore this to dinner several weeks ago at a Boca Raton staple called Abe & Louie's. It was very highly recommended by my bosses and friends, so I think I was too hyped up to appreciate it for what it is - quality meat. I don't get too excited about steaks anymore, so I wasn't too impressed. There was nothing wrong with my meal, the steak was just normal to me. The SIDES however, were awesome. I know we had some sort of mac and cheese dish which was amazing and we gobbled up the whole thing. I also loved getting dressed up for dinner. Usually dinner is such an afterthought and I end up wearing jeans and a t-shirt, so it was nice to go somewhere fancy-ish and wear this Parker dress. When I looked up the dress online, I found it at Century 21 department store for... $69.99!!! There aren't too many sizes left but OMG that is such a good price for this flattering and quality-made dress, so get it while you can!
